AIU Inter-University Road Cycling Tournament-2023 (M&W)

MGM University, Chh. Sambhajinagar (MGMU) in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has organized the All India Inter-University Road Cycling Tournament 2023 (Men & Women) for the first time in Aurangabad. Student cycling champions from the universities all over India are participating in the event to display their skill and endurance.

About MGM University

MGM University in Chh. Sambhajinagar, established by the revered Mahatma Gandhi Mission Trust, a pioneer with 4 decades of excellence in education, research and service is now a self-financed State Private University, approved by Government of Maharashtra and the passing of MGM University Act 2019 by Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. General Instructions

  • All Cyclists including Coaches,Mechanics and Managers must have a licence issued by the Cycling Federation of India. Proof of insurance of players must be submitted at the time of meeting of the Managers/ Coaches.
    •  
  • Officiating charges of Rs. 3000/- (Three thousand only) per team will be charged as per AIU rules.
    •  
  • The decision of the MGM University Organising Committee will be final and binding.
    •  
  • The MGM University Organizing Team will be providing a secured and safe lodging facility for the teams. However, the teams are requested to take care of their belongings as the responsibility for theft, loss and damage will be entirely with the respective teams.
    •  
  • Carpets, mattresses etc. will be provided at the place of lodging. Managers/Coaches will have to deposit Rs 1000/- (Rs. One thousand only) as a security deposit, which will be refunded after the return of the material in tactthat was issued by the office.
    •  
  • Teams are requested to report to the venue of the program 30 minutes prior to the start of the event with the proper sports kit with their respective ID cards etc. The arragemetns for transport and traval will be made by the MGM University Organizing Committee.
    •  
  • Team manager will be responsible for maintaining discipline at the venue of the tournament and also at the place of their stay.
    •  
  • No team will be allowed to participate in the tournament without its Team Manager.
  • Rules and Regulations as stipualted by the AIU and Cycling Federation will be final. No protest will be entertained on any ground at all.
    •  
  • In case of any indiscipline or misconduct by any individual team the Organising Committee will have the right to take disciplinary actions.
    •  
  • The Organising Committee reserves the right to make any changes in the program of the tournament and all the decisionstaken by the Organising Committee shall be final in all matters concerning the Tournament.
    •  
  • Accommodation will be provided only prior to 24 hours before the tournament and the teams will have to vacate the premises within 12 hours of their last match/es.
    •  
  • Any use of liquor/drugs/smoking is strictly prohibited at the place of stay during the entire period of tournament or on the University Campus. Strict action will be taken if anyone is found to be guilty.
    •  
  • Managers are requested to submit quadruplicate copies of the Eligibility forms of the participating players at the time of the meeting of Managers. Incomplete forms will not be entertained. No overwriting is permitted on the eligibility form unless attested by the competent authority.
    •  
  • A meeting of all managers and coaches of the participating teams will be held on 13th February, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. The venue of the meeting will be Pavilion Building (cricket stadium Univeristy Campus).
    •  
  • The tournament will be inaugurated on 13th February, 2023 at 4:30 pm at the MGM Cricket Stadium at MGM Campus and it is compulsory for all participating universities to attend the inaugural march past parade.
